Welcome to Serenity Now Meditation. We created Serenity Now Meditation because we have witnessed first hand how guided meditation and mindfulness can have a huge impact on neural recover. A couple years ago while my wife was recovering from a stroke she was struggling with a form of PTSD which would cause anxiety and panic attacks. She would visit with a psychologist and it helped some but the panic attacks would still come regularly. The only thing we found that would help in these moment was guided meditation and mindfulness, we listened to whatever we could find; however many were directed towards sleep meditation and, as anyone who has experienced a panic attack will tell you, it does not just happen at night. We were very thankful for the resources that were available however we needed something more, to the point that my wife would ask me to take her on a mindfulness journey and to guide her meditation. I fumbled around at first but in the end it worked, it filled the gap that we needed, and even though she couldn’t control it all with just meditation it opened our eyes to the power of our minds.
Years later I was getting ready to transition from my previous vocation into my own business in accounting and business advisory when both my wife and I had the impression that we wanted to give back and do something that would help people not just financially and physically but mentally and spiritually. We were inspired by the resources we were provided to get through our tough time and decided that we could pay it forward by making shorter guided meditation videos, not just for sleep but short enough that someone could listen to them on their lunch break or whenever they needed it. With this goal in mind, hoping to help even one person, Serenity Now Meditation was born.
